Not the Geico gecko

We have these little guys hanging out all around our house this summer and almost every night when we take the dogs out we'll find one on the back door. According to wiki, this is a house gecko - so named because they hang out on houses in search of insects attracted to porch lights.

Just hanging out

I love watching all of the primates at the zoo but the chimpanzees are always my favorite. Something about those eyes - they just look so wise and soulful to me.

We took the kids to the Dallas Zoo today and it was unbearably hot but the penguins were able to keep cool in their pool.
