Whatchu lookin' at?

I know that this photo is technically a mess and no amount of converting is going to save this snapshot but I am really glad I captured this moment. Maggie has turned into a complete diva - especially about doing things herself. She is not content to just sit and eat off your spoon. She has to hold the cup/bowl/spoon/etc. and if you're lucky she'll share with you but don't you dare try to take that spoon away from her.

I was trying to practice using my flash today with M as my subject but she wanted nothing to do with having her picture taken. She only wanted my camera. So I gave her my point and shoot and she was one very happy subject. Who needs eye contact?

Number 10

Yesterday J had his first t-ball game and was randomly assigned number 10. Imagine his joy when he found out that Michael Young of the Rangers, one of his favorite players, is also number 10. Can you guess where we went for Mother's day?

The bootless cowboy

Jayce's class has been doing a unit on cowboys and the Ol' West and tomorrow he has to go to school dressed as a cowboy. We put this together for him at the last minute - hat from Wal-Mart, shirt & Wranglers from a resale shop - we're not exactly the most country-western folks, y'all. ;) Unfortunately, being May and having very short notice our little cowpoke will have to go without boots. He's mildly disappointed but the hat sure helps.
