Pirate boy
ISO 400, ss 1/80, f 1.8, 50mm lens
Today was pirate day in Jayce's class. He got to dress up like a pirate, follow a map to hidden treasure, and devour that age-old pirate treat - Cici's pizza & cinnamon rolls. ;)

A familiar sight
Rain, rain, and more rain. Rained out tee ball practices, rained out tee ball games, and rained out tee ball make-up games make for a rather disappointed 3-year-old. What a summer for Texas.

Dirty Dawg
Tie-Dye's been digging under the shed lately and each time he does it we come home to this. Anyone want a dog?

I just haven't taken a lot of pictures to upload lately and tonight I'm feeling pretty lazy so I'll share a video of Jayce singing. Now this truly is suburban life at its finest. Make sure to turn up the volume.
Singing Fame
And of course we can't forget Maggie, now can we. :)

Father's Day Fun
Just some quick snaps of Richard going down the bounce house slide at the Wiggly Play Center. Sounds like the perfect father's day, yeah?

Not so fond of the pool
We bought an inflatable pool for the backyard last week and Jayce is absolutely in love with it. Maggie, on the other hand...

Skating
I haven't taken many pictures other than t-ball lately so I pulled this one up from a couple of weeks ago and just had some fun in photoshop.

Bird
During lunch Richard and I like to go to a local park with a pond to eat and watch the wildlife. We usually see squirrels, ducks, turtles, fish, and the occasional snake but this bird just intrigued me. I have no idea what it is but I think it's cool looking.

Sunset after a storm
This was shot through the window in my front room after a storm a couple of weeks ago. Right now I'm enjoying the rain free days after a very wet spring but the heat that's creeping into our weather is bordering on unbearable.

A tank with a view
M showing us the koi tank at the Dallas Zoo. She loved being able to watch them swim by.

More mall ceilings
I seem to have a thing for taking photos of the ceilings of the various malls we visit. Here are a couple more - these are from the Dallas Galleria. I guess I could just say I was admiring the bright blue sky after days of rain.

Pure Toddler
I thought about all the touch ups I could do to this photo. Clean up her messy shirt, remove the wrinkles, "heal" the bruised, skinned knees, and in the full size version you could see the dirt on her face from giving her full 100% at daycare. Then I realized that this is who M is right now - pure toddler. A mess. A very lovely mess. And hey, she actually looked at the camera here so I'm keeping all those wonderful little "imperfections" in this one.

Scaling the wall
J has become a climber and he absolutely loves these climbing walls at the local parks. I was incredibly spoiled by his inability to really climb stuff until just recently. M, she's another story altogether.

Awwwwwwwwww
Is there anything in the world cuter than a daddy's girl?
ISO 200, ss 200, f 3.2, 28-75mm lens @ 40mm
P.S. Holy cow! How on earth did it get to be June already? I can't believe I've made it this far. :D
P.S. again ...(I can never remember if it's PPS or PSS)... I thought it funny today that someone asked at work if I had new pictures of the kiddos. I, of course, am notoriously bad about printing any of my photos and told her I didn't have any. She said I needed to take advantage of this coming weekend to take some pics of the kids. :D I think my kids would appreciate it if I actually didn't point the camera at them this weekend.
